Finns det ett annat Queen Mary University of London... I London??
Fick för ett litet tag sen ett mail till min universitetsmail. Det handlade om en undersökning som har gjorts i universitet och colleges i United Kingdom. Tydligen så var mitt universitet "the biggest star".. hmm.. Och vi hamnade på en enastående 11e plats över alla institut i UK. Coolt, men...
Detta mail kom samma dag som ytterligare ett seminar blev inställt. Lite halvt komiskt tycker jag! Hittills har vi väl missat mestadelen av föreläsningar och seminar, samt att vissa lärare inte håller den standard vi betalar för.
Jag tror att Queen Mary har trixat lite med resultatet!!

Please accept my apologies for the somewhat late timing of this email. I am
writing to inform you of the College and the School's recent showing in the
Research Assessment Exercise (RAE).
The RAE is carried out once every 6-7 years to evaluate the research of
Universities across all disciplines in the UK. It essentially ranks the
research quality of your School.
Queen Mary did incredibly well and was the biggest star of the whole
process. It is now ranked as the 11th best University or College in the UK.

Within this, the School also did incredibly well. We submitted to the RAE
for the first time and of the 100 or so School's of Business and Management
we were ranked in the top 25. Like the College, the School was one of the
stars of its own particular discipline and its achievement as a first time
entrant has been noted by many other Universities and by Queen Mary itself.
Once again, apologies for not writing to you earlier with this good news but
I hope that you are pleased with the news and note that you feel confident
and proud that your College is at the centre of UK educational quality.
